尽管摩根大通在金融科技领域进行了大量的投资，但要满足其区块链的目标，仍然有很多工作要做。
摩根大通企业和投资银行部亚太区银行科技主管Abhijit Gupta说道，他担心的是区块链技术中的改善，特别是速度方面。
Gupta补充道：
“在过去的一年半中，我们系统的处理时间缩短了10倍，但事实上我们需要缩短1000倍。”
该银行在发布其区块链研发工作的数月后发布了详细信息。根据华尔街日报的报道，在2月份，摩根大通进行了一次内部测试，在涉及到2200个客户的测试中在伦敦和东京进行资金转账。
一个月之后，摩根大通发布了Juno区块链项目的研发进展，这也是它加入Linux基金会HyperLedger区块链联盟的一部分。
区块链和工作机会
如果摩根大通在实现其区块链目标之前还有很多工作要做，报告显示该银行在财务方面也承诺进行这样的测试以及该科技其它领域的研究。
去年12月份，Business Insider报道摩根大通在一次内部的演示中透漏将会在区块链和机器人领域投资90亿美金。
Gupta也解释了他们公司对这两个领域的投资看法，特别是对雇佣的影响的担忧。
“我们认为金融科技不会让很多人失业。因为随着越来越多的资金进入该领域，将会出现更多的工作机会，”他说道。
Gupta总结道：
“例如，在银行操作中使用机器人可以减少人为错误，并改善效率，改善用户体验。因此我们可以将员工重新安排到能够持续产生价值的工作部门。”
